Russell roof tiles bolsters technical sales team with new role

As part of a multitude of innovations launched this year, Burton-based Russell Roof Tiles, has introduced a new role in its technical sales team.

Bringing growth to the department, the new role, Technical Specification Manager, will help further develop the company’s specification strategy and build its presence in the market. With extensive expertise in the construction industry spanning over three decades, newly appointed Dean Kemp brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success to the position.

He joins at a dynamic time for the roof tile manufacturer which has recently launched its new solar PV system as well as investing in a major redevelopment programme.

Dean, who has had a longstanding career in specification selling across many sectors will be overseeing the South East. His main responsibility will be to apply technical excellence to all levels of the business, developing Russell Roof Tiles presence across public sectors by providing support for local authorities, housing associations, specifiers and main contractors.

Dean comments: “Joining Russell Roof Tiles has given me the opportunity to use my expertise to assist in building a successful division with all the relevant support mechanisms and product offering. This appointment of the technical specification manager comes at a significant time for Russell Roof Tiles with the business currently undergoing its biggest expansion project since being acquired in 2011. The £18.5 million investment to its Burton site will deliver more manufacturing lines and a new 1600 square meter building which will house a state-of-the-art curing chamber, only the second of its type in the country, for the concrete tiles.
