The first residents have moved into their homes on the latest phase of a new housing development in Biddenham.
Linden Homes, part of Vistry Group, is currently building new one and two-bedroom apartments, along with two, three, four and five-bedroom houses at St Marys, off Bromham Road.
Construction work began on phase two of the development in spring last year, and 19 of the 118 properties are now fully built and occupied, with a further 30 already sold.
The first phase of 129 homes at St Mary’s, which is part of the wider Kings Field neighbourhood, was completed last year.
Hannah Dorner, Sales Manager for Linden Homes East Midlands, said: “Construction work is progressing well at St Marys, and it’s great to see the first residents in the second phase of the development settling into their homes and becoming part of this growing community.
“With the first phase completely sold out and almost half of the homes in phase two already snapped up, it is clear to see that St Marys is in high demand with house-hunters.”
The wider Kings Field development, planned since 2001, will eventually comprise around 1,300 new homes and is providing a link road connecting the A428 to the A6. As part of Linden Homes’ contribution, it is providing a new primary school, country park and sports pitches.
Hannah said: “Kings Field is a highly sought-after place to live, so St Marys offers a fantastic opportunity for anyone seeking a fresh start in this brand-new neighbourhood. Homebuyers will benefit from an attractive village setting, modern community facilities and beautiful rural surroundings, all within two miles of Bedford town centre.
“We are pleased to be meeting the demand for new homes in Biddenham and we look forward to welcoming more residents into their homes at St Marys as building work progresses over the coming months.”
There are currently a selection of two and four-bedroom homes for sale at St Mary’s, with prices starting from £250,000.
