Building work has now come to an end at a new housing development in Banbury, where all homes have now been sold.

Ashberry Homes has built 146 properties at its Cherry Fields development, off Southam Road, just under two miles north of the town centre.

The development is part of a wider scheme of 510 homes built in partnership with fellow housebuilder Bellway and which has also delivered a brand-new school. Located off Wardington Road, in the heart of the site, Cherry Fields Primary School opened to reception and nursery pupils last September.

Construction work on the mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes at Cherry Fields began in 2016, and nearly all homes have been occupied.

Elaine Brown, Head of Sales for Ashberry Homes South Midlands, said: “As construction has now drawn to a close at Cherry Fields, we are looking forward to welcoming our final few buyers into their new homes.

“Cherry Fields has attracted a variety of house-hunters because of the wide range of different house styles and sizes which have been built at the development. The smaller two and three-bedroom properties have offered great value for first-time buyers keen to take their first steps on the housing ladder, while growing families and upsizers have been able to choose from a selection of large four and five-bedroom detached houses.

“To have a brand-new purpose-built primary school on the development itself has been a massive draw for young families, while the site’s accessible location and good road links have also been major plus points for buyers. Cherry Fields is just over five-minutes from Junction 11 of the M40, meaning Coventry and Oxford can both be reached in 40 minutes. Milton Keynes and Northampton are also within commuting distance.”
