Final homes sold at Bellway’s Banwell development

Building work has entered the final stages at Banwell housing development Bilbie Grange.

All homes at the Bellway development have now been sold, with residents due to move into the final properties in the summer.

A year and a half after starting work on the site, off Wolvershill Road, the housebuilder is due to complete construction in the spring.

Bilbie Grange will eventually comprise 44 new homes, including 31 for private sale and 13 affordable properties for rent or shared ownership.

Rachel Way, Sales Manager for Bellway South West, said: “As construction work draws to a close, we are looking forward to welcoming buyers into the final few homes at Bilbie Grange, a development of three and four-bedroom houses which has been incredibly popular due to its desirable location.

“Situated just six miles from Weston-super-Mare and a 40-minute drive from Bristol, Banwell appeals to families wanting to be close to the coast as well as commuters seeking an escape from the city.

“This picturesque village is close to the beautiful Mendip Hills, making it an ideal place from which to explore the great outdoors. Homeowners are increasingly looking to live in a place which offers better access to open spaces after spending months stuck indoors during lockdown. The popularity of Bilbie Grange is a reflection of that trend.

“Bilbie Grange has not only provided much-needed new housing for the Banwell area but has also delivered a significant investment in local services. As part of the planning agreement for the development, we have contributed funding of more than £221,000 towards infrastructure and facilities. This includes over £142,500 for education contributions, and over £38,000 for sports and leisure facilities.”

Bellway South West is continuing to build new homes at developments across Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
