L&Q has launched a new collection of one, two and three-bedroom Shared Ownership apartments at L&Q at Fielders Quarter, Barking Riverside, providing first-time buyers with an opportunity to get on to the property ladder at this landmark new neighbourhood in East London.

Part of one of Europe’s largest brownfield developments, L&Q’s new homes offer some of the first opportunities to buy at this impressive new town on the River Thames. Covering an area the size of London’s Hyde Park, Barking Riverside will ultimately create over 10000 homes, commercial and leisure space, public spaces and riverside walks. A new London Overground Station and Uber Boat by Thames Clippers Pier are expected to open soon.

L&Q’s apartments feature spacious open-plan living areas, large bedrooms and high-specification kitchens, characterised by modern floor-to-ceiling windows which allow considerable natural light into every room. A must for modern city living, each home features a private balcony and access to gated communal gardens, providing an ideal place to walk the dog or let children play.

Claire Brenlund, Sales and Marketing Director at L&Q comments, “Barking Riverside is drawing a fantastic amount of attention from first-time buyers across the capital thanks to the extraordinary facilities it promises, paired with its affordability. Buyers who move to Barking Riverside will get to witness some of the project’s most exciting milestones opening soon, including the launch of Barking Riverside’s London Overground station.”

Included in the latest launch is a collection of three-bedroom apartments, offering a rare opportunity for families to buy through Shared Ownership in the capital. With the apartments close to Riverside Campus, the largest free school campus in the UK, and new facilities such as The Wilds, a new multi-purpose community, ecology and events space, families can benefit from a rich mix of facilities on their doorstep.

An essential part of the Barking Riverside masterplan is the creation of quality green infrastructure including a network of new cycle routes that will run throughout the development, and every home comes with secure cycle parking as standard.

Barking Riverside residents have Central London on their doorstep, with C2C trains running from nearby Dagenham Dock to London Fenchurch Street in 24 minutes. There are regular bus services running between the development and both Dagenham Dock and Barking Station, with the C2C, District and Hammersmith and City tube lines and London Overground running from the latter. Creating greater connectivity, the new Barking Riverside Overground station will provide an extension of the Gospel Oak – Barking line.

Prices start from £61,875 for a 25% share of a one-bedroom apartment (FMV: £247,500), £78,750 for a 25% share of a two-bedroom apartment (FMV: £315,000) and from £93,750 for a 25% share of a three-bedroom apartment (FMV: £375,000).
