All homes now sold at Cressing development
The final home has been sold at a new housing development in Cressing, where all the properties have now been constructed.
Bellway has delivered 118 new homes at Avondale, off Mill Lane, comprising 71 houses for private sale alongside 47 affordable homes for local people available for rent or shared ownership.
As part of the planning agreement for the development, the housebuilder has provided a new footpath linking Mill Lane with Cressing railway station.
A new children’s play area has also been created near the entrance of the development.
Jenny Walker, Sales Director for Bellway Essex, said: “Since starting work on site at Avondale, we have created a new neighbourhood which has quickly become a vibrant community.
“The development has provided new homes for both people living locally and those from further afield, while the mix of sizes and styles has meant that there’s been something for buyers at all stages of the property ladder.
“Residents have appreciated the spacious and thoughtfully designed layouts of the homes at Avondale as well as the excellent customer service that the sales team here has given them.”
Bellway has been awarded five-star status by the Home Builders Federation for the past five years. The rating means that more than 90 per cent of customers would recommend the housebuilder to a friend or family member.
Jenny said: “As well as providing high-quality new homes, we have brought additional benefits for the local community, such as the new footpath link to Cressing railway station via Bulford Mill Lane, as well as funding additional covered cycle parking at the station.
“We have also made significant financial investment in education, healthcare, outdoor sport and improvements to bus stops as part of the planning agreement for the development.
“With construction at Avondale now complete and all homes occupied, we are continuing to meet the need for new housing in Essex at our other sites in the county – including at Hatfield Peverel and Witham, approximately five miles from Cressing.”
Bellway Essex is currently building new homes at Hatfield Grove in Hatfield Peverel and at Rivenhall Park in Witham.
