Construction complete at Bellway development in Corfe Mullen

Building work has now finished at Bellway’s Windgreen Gardens development in Corfe Mullen where all the homes have been occupied.

The housebuilder has provided 78 new homes at the development, off Wimborne Road, including 58 homes sold privately and 20 homes allocated as affordable housing for local people.

The final homes were sold at the end of last year and the finishing touches have since been made to these last properties as well as to complete the landscaping, public open space, roads and pavements on site.

Sales Director for Bellway Wessex, Kim Caldwell, said: “It is so great to see this development completed and come to life with all its new residents settled in. Already a wonderful community has begun to develop.

“Windgreen Gardens has been immensely popular, with all of the properties sold out just over a year from the launch in September 2020.

As part of the planning agreement for Windgreen Gardens, Bellway has made financial contributions towards education and open space, recreation and sports facilities, as well as contributing towards maintaining Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) in the area.

Kim said: “As well as providing new homes, our lasting legacy in Corfe Mullen also includes substantial investment in local infrastructure and facilities which will benefit new and existing residents now and in the future.

“Although there are no longer any new homes at Windgreen Gardens available to buy, we are committed to meeting the need for new housing in Dorset and are also building high-quality homes from our Artisan Collection at St Mary’s Hill in Blandford St Mary, just nine miles away.”

Bellway is building a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes at St Mary’s Hill, with prices to be confirmed.
