Tradeprices Bathrooms Announced as Fastest Growing Online Retailer in Wales

Cardiff-based online bathroom retailer, TradePrices, has recently scooped three awards including ‘Fastest Growing E-Commerce Business in Wales’ from the Lightning 50, hosted by Brightpearl.

The UK is experiencing a home improvement boom, with a 77% increase reported in people spending money on home improvements in 2021 from the continued growth observed over multiple lockdowns.

The ongoing effects of Covid and Brexit on the supply chain and increased demand have presented many challenges within the sector. Still, due to early and continued investment into their operation, Tradeprices has achieved growth throughout this period.

Brightpearl, which provides digital services for e-commerce businesses, has once again launched its Lightning 50′ for 2022 – providing an award to celebrate firms who have thrived throughout the ‘pandemic era’. The award is sponsored by big names such as Trust Pilot, ShipTheory and Super Charged Commerce.

Brightpearl analysed the data behind 50 of the UK’s fastest-growing e-commerce businesses, awarding those who have had rapid success.

As well as being awarded the ‘Fastest Growing E-Commerce Business in Wales,’ Tradeprices was also placed 9th overall on the UK-wide top 50 list and again in first place for ‘UK’s Fastest Growing Homewares Company’.

Gavin Smith, Director of Tradeprices said of winning the award:

“We are delighted to be listed as the number one growing e-commerce brand in Wales, as well as number 9 across the UK as a whole while also coming in top in the UK’s fastest growing homewares.”

“Our small team have worked tirelessly to grow our family business and fulfil our customer orders. We’ve invested heavily into our online presence with the support of our digital marketing agency, Newwave Design. I am immensely proud of our team and the business we are continuing to grow. We hope to see even more growth over the next year, into 2023 and beyond!”

Brightpearl CEO Derek O’Carroll added:

“When we consider the unpredictability and uncertainty of the last couple of years, from the pandemic, to the global supply chain crisis, through to the skyrocketing costs brought on by the Ukraine war, high rates of inflation and increased cost-of-living, it’s easy to paint a bleak picture for business.

“There can be no doubt that there are many obstacles for retailers to overcome. However, many have risen to this, and now the results are in, we can see that some firms aren’t just showing resilience – they are absolutely thriving, despite the difficult circumstances. When we look behind the data, there’s a combination of factors for that success, primarily driven by people and the innovative, data-driven technologies they are using that allow them to react quickly to the challenges they face.

“It’s fantastic to once again be able to celebrate and recognise the hard work that has gone into this growth, and I’d like to congratulate everyone who made it into the Lightning 50 list.”
